Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving

Would you like to make a significant gift to support the animals at Chatham Kent Animal Rescue? By making a planned gift, such as a bequest in your will, you can help the animals without affecting your current income.

Legacy gifts allow Chatham Kent Animal Rescue to help animals in our care and expand into more areas of education to teach compassion.

Making A Legacy Gift

Your legacy is a footprint you will leave behind…through a planned gift to Chatham Kent Animal Rescue, you can continue to touch the hearts of animals in need, into the future.

By making a legacy gift, such as a bequest in your will, you can help the animals without affecting your current income. Apart from a gift in your will, there are a few other ways to leave a legacy gift, which include adding Chatham Kent Animal Rescue as a beneficiary of your Life Insurance, RRSP, RRIF or Securities – whichever option you choose, you can feel good that your gift will be helping mistreated, abandoned and neglected animals.

Getting Started

The first step is planning.  Contact your lawyer and or financial advisor to develop an estate plan to ensure your wishes are carried out as intended. If you have an existing will, it can be updated and changed at any time to reflect your current wishes and plans.

Planning For Your Pet

Where will your pet go, if something happens to you? No one wants to imagine their pet being homeless with no one to care for them. But in life, unexpected events can happen, leaving your pet without a caregiver. Do you have a plan in place should your pet outlive you?  Talk to your family and friends to be prepared.  Chatham Kent Animal Rescue has welcomed in many dogs and cats whose family were unable to care for a pet left by an owner who has passed away.  All of our animals live in safe, loving foster homes until we help them find a forever home or they remain with us as a permanent foster.
