MUST have a secure, fenced yard. REQUIREMENTS: Only dog in the home, secure fenced yard We can only accept applications from Chatham Kent, Sarnia, Windsor, London and points within these boundaries. Breed: Lab mix Age: 3 - 4 years old Weight: 70 lbs. Does not get along well with some dogs. Can be okay with cats but will chase if they are running. Scrappy is a fun loving, very social cuddler! He is extremely smart and knows commands such as sit and shake a paw. He came in severely underweight with extensive hair loss but with good quality food, he is now healthy and has a beautiful, glossy coat! Due to a shortage of food in the past, Scrappy does not like other dogs nearby when he is being fed. Izzy is a beautiful 5-year-old black cat with a super sweet demeanor. She enjoys belly rubs, being brushed and petted, and loves to play. Though shy and nervous when she first arrived at her foster home, she quickly purred up a storm, rolled over for a belly rub, and curled up on a lap. She continues to be a bit nervous with loud sounds or around people she is less familiar with but she has gained a lot of confidence being with her foster family. Izzy will sometimes let you know when she is unhappy (like when trying to get her into her carrier or give her medication) and will sometimes let out a small growl or hiss, but do not let her fool you - she is all meow and no bite. She has never shown any aggression and is quick to start purring again. As she has gained confidence, the hisses and growls have become less frequent. Izzy is currently being fostered with no issues around the three resident cats. She likes playing on her own, particularly with toy mice and dangling toys, and also enjoys running around with the other cats. She would be in happy in a home with another cat she can befriend but would also be okay as the only cat. She is spayed and is up to date with her vaccinations. If you would like to provide a loving home for Izzy, just submit the adoption application at www.ckanimalrescue.com Adoption fee: $80

NOTE: Only applications within Chatham Kent can be accepted as this will be a 'Foster to Adopt' program. MUST haves: Secure, fenced yard...no cats or small dogs...only kids 14+ Because Trey has never really lived in a home, we want to give him the best possible chance to adjust easily to a home situation. This boy deserves that chance! In order to do that, we will require his potential new foster to adopt family to visit him at the rescue office at least twice to become familiar. Trey is afraid of getting into a vehicle only because he has not been exposed to taking many road trips. The last big one he had was a 2 day trip to bring him and his brother to our rescue. Next step will be to bring him to his potential new home for a couple of visits before he stays to see how things go. Trey is very excited to meet people, he is a good boy. He knows his routine at the rescue office where he has lived for the past 2 years, he loves to run in the large fenced in area and sniff out the hiding spots for the squirrels and sniff out the trails of other wildlife. Being a lab, he does have a prey drive and loves the outdoors. He is also a big baby and likes the comfort of his space in the office too. Trey has worked hard to lose some weight as he was up to 70 lbs. He now weighs about 50 lbs., looks great and is very fit! He is ready to spread his wings and explore all that life has to offer! Trey loves to explore so his nose is to the ground every chance he gets! He loves attention and is a happy boy whose tail never stops wagging. To avoid chewing, only durable toys have been made available since flimsy stuffies are easily destroyed. If you love labs, are willing to provide lots of love, patience and further training and ultimately give Trey a great home, we want to hear from you!! Just submit the Adoption Application at www.ckanimalrescue.com Adoption fee: $350 Trey is neutered and is up to date with all his vaccinations.

He can have that little man attitude! He does not give cats a second look, just gives a sniff and walks by. So far, he shows no interest in any toys but he gets very excited to go for walks or a ride in the car. He has a hernia on his tummy which the vet has examined and reported that it does not need any attention. If repaired, it would only be for cosmetic purposes. Harley loves his people and if treated with kindness, will be an excellent companion. Ideal situation - secure fenced yard as he is a runner, an adopter who respects a dog and will not aggressively force him to do something.
