Our Purple Leash walk, held on Sunday, November 4/12, was a huge success and we could not be more proud!  The number of people who came to walk with us was truly an overwhelming experience that we will never forget.  Many of the two legged and four legged participants wore purple which represents rescue.

This was our first annual walk to raise awareness for innocent pet victims who are caught in the middle of domestic violence in the home.  Our goal is to recruit a team of foster families with experience with many different types of pets to be an alternative option for these pets to be placed out of harms way.  And we want people to remember there are many different types of victims of domestic violence.

We also walked In Memory of Krista O’Leary.  Krista was one of our fun, loving, amazing foster moms who took her role of foster mom very serious.  Several of our little rescues spent time with Krista and her family.  We were very fortunate to know her.  She taught her children about compassion and giving to help innocent animals in need.  We miss her and will walk in Krista’s memory in the future.
